Sinds zijn derde album How To Die in the North via het vermaarde Bella Union met veel aandacht werd uitgebracht heeft de uit New Jersey afkomstige en al langere tijd in Manchester woonachtige toetsenman/songwriter Brian Christinzio onder zijn artiestennaam BC Camplight een ware cultfollowing gekregen. Een cultfollowing die met elk nieuw album gestaag meegroeit. A Sober Conversation, zijn onderhand alweer zevende album, is alles behalve de titel. Het is een album waarop de songs in een muzikaal breed uitwaaiend spectrum met glansrijke arrangementen zijn neergezet en waar juist door die grote muzikale diversiteit een magisch geheel ontstaat.
