Dat contrabassist Milo Fitzpatrick met Vega Trails goud in handen heeft was op het eerste album Tremors In The Static al duidelijk. Op dat album nog duidelijk een duo-samenwerking met allesblazer Jordan Smart met alle muzikale beperkingen, heeft Fitzpatrick voor het tweede Vega Trails album Sierra Tracks de instrumentatie verruimd. Het levert magische muzikale landschappen op. Het verkassen van het drukke stadsleven in Londen naar het landleven in de uitlopers van het Sierra de Guardarrama gebergte noordwestelijk van Madrid, zo’n drie en half jaar geleden, heeft Fitzpatrick nogal veel inspiratie gegeven. Nieuwe muziek bleef maar komen. Vrij vernoemd naar zijn nieuwe woonplek is Sierra Tracks alles waar je op gehoopt...
