Tijdens de pandemiejaren lieten de bandleden van Loma elkaar tijdelijk los: Jonathan Meiburg (bekend van Shearwater en Okkervil River) belandde in Duitsland, Emily Cross trok richting Dorset en Dan Duszynski bleef in de thuisbasis Texas. In 2023 kwam de groep, die met haar eerste twee albums internationaal hoge ogen had gegooid, weer bijeen. Deze derde langspeler voor Sub Pop – de band bracht daarnaast ook werk in eigen beheer uit – laat een wat robuuster, zwaarder geluid horen. Zonder dat het dromerige, het folky en het pastorale is verdwenen overigens. Drums en bas zitten op opener Please Come In stevig in de mix. De slepende zang van Cross contrasteert hier mooi...
