De scherpte van Balthazar ligt in het feit dat de bandleden elkaar genoeg ruimte gunnen om dit speelplezier in de nevenprojecten vast te houden. Het is dan ook voor niemand een verrassing dat de Vlamingen na het optreden op Pukkelpop afgelopen zomer ieder hun eigen weg bewandelen. Maarten Devoldere richt zich op Warhaus om een vervolg op de Ha Ha Heartbreak scheidingsplaat te maken terwijl Simon Casier juist op Love Songs de liefde centraal stelt.
