Met de verhuis naar New Orleans ruim tien jaar geleden brak voor Rickie Lee Jones een nieuwe creatieve periode aan. In 2015 bracht The Other Side Of Desire, de eerste langspeler met nieuw materiaal sinds jaren, haar naar Europe. Tijdens die bescheiden tournee was er een memorabel concert in De Roma dat aantoonde dat La Jones naast imponerende chanteuse ook als singer-songwriter haar tweede adem gevonden had. Ondertussen werden twee langspelers met coverwerk uitgebracht Kicks en Chain Austin. De titel Pieces Of Treasure refereert naar het tweede album Pirates dat evenals het nimmer geëvenaarde titelloze debuut onder hoede van het geniale producersteam met Lenny Waronker de chef van Warner Bros....
