Elk nieuw Bonobo album is een album om naar uit te zien. Simon Green, de architect van de Bonobo sound, snapt als geen ander hoe je goede songs moet schrijven én deze te vatten in avontuurlijk tegelijk warme, diepe electronic klanken. Met het nieuwe Fragments vindt hij zichzelf wederom opnieuw uit. Natuurlijk hadden we al kunnen weten dat het nieuwe jaar met Fragments een mooi begin zou gaan krijgen. In november was daar plots het geweldige Shadows, waarvoor Green Jordan Rakei voor de vocale gestrikt had.
