Na een eindeloze val in de diepte is Tricky helemaal klaar voor zijn muzikale comeback. De kenmerkende vechtersmentaliteit heeft met het overlijden van dochterlief Mazy Topley-Bird een flinke deuk opgelopen. Net als zijn moeder kiest ook zij ervoor om uit het leven te stappen. De hel is de hoek omgewandeld en heeft een nieuw slachtoffer opgeëist. De macho houding wordt door een traumatische inktzwarte duisternis overschaduwd en in zijn typerende vocalen is de snijdende hartzeer voelbaar. Begrijpelijk dat hij de Poolse zangeres Marta Złakowska inschakelt om het merendeel van de zangpartijen in te zingen.
