Twee jaar na zijn opmerkelijke terugkeer is voormalig frontman van The Only Ones, Peter Perrett, weer te vinden aan het releasefront. Wederom geruggensteund door zijn zoons Peter en Jamie klinkt Perrett op dit album wat steviger, pakkender dan op How The West Was Won. Hoewel pessimisme en escapisme altijd in de buurt zullen blijven geeft Perrett de laatste jaren ook zeker blijk van optimisme en romantiek. Zijn kinderen zullen daar ook zeker een rol in hebben gespeeld. Vandaar ook de titel Humanworld. Onder de korte, bondige songs bevinden zich een aantal pakkende tracks met een – voor Peter Perrett begrippen – behoorlijk groots (gitaar)geluid. Zeker vergeleken met het vorige album....
