Strand of Oaks bouwde dankzij het album Heal en een even stevig als innemend optreden op Best Kept Secret in 2015 ook hier een aardige reputatie op. Voor frontman Tim Showalter ging het leven de laatste tien jaar bepaald niet rimpelloos voorbij maar hij blijft investeren in zichzelf en de mensen om hem heen. Showalter ontsnapt echter niet aan mijmeringen over zijn jeugdjaren in Indiana. Op voorganger Heal deed sleuteltrack Goshen ’97 hier verslag van, op Hard Love is het Radio Kids, een groots klinkende rocksong over home taping en stiekem radio luisteren via de koptelefoon.
