Met zijn vierde album Stream maakt de Schotse pianist Fergus McCreadie met zijn trio, met David Bowden op bas en Stephen Henderson op drums, wederom duidelijk waar de toekomst van de jazz ligt. Stream overtuigt zowaar nog meer dan de meesterlijke voorgangers Cairn (2020) en Forest Floor (2022). Eigenlijk zou je verwachten dat er bij McCreadie na het succes van die twee zo succesvolle albums, met zelfs een nominatie voor de grote Mercury Prize voor Forest Floor, wel wat druk op zou liggen.
