Allemachtig, wat een plaat. Vijftig jaar (!) na hun debuut levert Judas Priest een album af dat zich makkelijk kan meten met de toppers in hun oeuvre (Sad Wings of Destiny, Screaming for Vengeance, Painkiller) en dat door menigeen al hun beste album ooit wordt genoemd. Als je de recente geschiedenis van de band in ogenschouw neemt, mag dat gerust een wonder heten. Origineel gitarist Glenn Tipton kampt al jaren met Parkinson, zanger Rob Halford kampte met kanker en de jongste telg Richie Faulkner balanceerde op het randje en dankt zijn leven aan een spoed open hart operatie.
