In de wereld van de progressieve rock is er een Nederlander die de ontwikkelingen in de scene op zijn duimpje kent, de krenten in de pap ziet en het kaf van het koren weet te scheiden. Met bescheidenheid, met oog en oor voor wat er voorafging in de ontwikkeling van de progressieve rock en vooruit, ook rekening houdend met de ontwikkeling van de progressieve metal, schrijft hij zijn muziek. De warme klanken van analoge synthesizers, viool, cello, heerlijke fluitklanken en bij dat alles gitaren van de hand van de meester zelf, van drie hogepriesters van de elektrische gitaar, Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr. Big), Guthrie Govan (The Aristocrats, Asia, Steven Wilson) en Marcel Coenen (Sun Caged) die net zo makkelijk subtiele solo's laten klinken als stevig stoere riffs, de waanzinnig stoere drums van Ed Warby (die meer dan eens de geest van Cozy Powell zeer effectief oproept) en dan een stoet aan gastzangeressen en gastzangers die zijn weergave niet kent.
