Het is ondertussen ruim een kwarteeuw geleden dat we Susan Tedeshi ontdekten. Het door soulvolle zang en gitaarspel gekruide Just Won’t Burn  van de uit Boston afkomstige muzikante resulteerde ook in onze contreien naar memorabele concerten op de festivalpodia. Ik herinner me nog levendig haar passage op Bospop in 2006 waarbij ze geflankeerd werd door de saxman van Warren Haynes’ Gov’t Mule. Na een handvol langspelers focuste Tedeshi zich op een muzikaal verbond met haar man Derek Trucks, de slidegitarist uit Jackson Florida, een neef van Butch Trucks, drummer bij The Allman Brothers Band die in 2017, hetzelfde jaar als Gregg Allman overleed, figureerde veertien jaar bij die legendarische jamband....
