In de seventies thuisgekomen na een avondje stappen wilde de ietwat diehard-muziekfan in de losse kleine uurtjes alles toch nog wel eens diep transcenderend afronden, idealiter dus vanaf zijn draaitafel. Pink Floyd's toen succesvolle Atom Heart Mother kwam daar al eens uitstekend voor in aanmerking, hun Meddle evengoed, bijvoorbeeld, maar ook dat pak conceptalbums als Yes' bijna verguisde mammoetproject Tales From Topographic Oceans. Het waren dan de uitgelezen momenten om diep tot de ziel van die complexe, vaak ruimtelijke vinylstukken door te dringen. Bij dit kransje hoorde ergens in diezelfde tijd - 1976  - ook de band Absolute Elsewhere, dat in de schaduw van Yes en King Crimson met zijn...
