The Wombats, dat leuke bandje met die dansbare Let's Dance to Joy Division cult hit, zijn ondertussen al aan hun vijfde studioplaat toe. Genoodzaakt in afzonderlijk geamputeerde lockdown modus werken ze in Oslo, Los Angeles en Londen aan nieuw materiaal. Niet zeuren, het is gewoon niet anders. Levert dit dan een deprimerende eindplaat op? Integendeel! Ze resetten het negatieve doemdenken tot iets positiefs. Fix Yourself, Not the World is ouderwets springerig, gevuld met doordachte woordgrappen en helemaal volgens de tragikomische spirit van dit trio tot stand gekomen.
