Dat deze band is afgeleid van eigenzinnige kunstenaar Andy Warhol zal bij iedereen bekend zijn. Buiten dat feit vervullen de uit Portland afkomstige The Dandy Warhols ook grotendeels zijn uitgekristalliseerde leefwijze. Met de kleine catchy novelty hit Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth hedden ze hun fifteen minutes of fame. Dit bouwen ze als een eindeloze lange psychedelische trip uit. Vervolgens hoereren ze zich met Bohemian Like You als goedkope prostitué aan een megagroot mobiele telefonie bedrijf. Frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor is moeilijk te peilen. In interviews verschuilt hij zich achter een mysterieus druggy imago. The Dandy Warhols kunnen zo bij de glamour jetset met hun glossy lifestyle...
