Het Amerikaanse duo King Hannah, bestaande uit inderdaad Hannah Merrick en Craig Whittle, zal de originaliteitsprijs niet winnen, Beïnvloedt door sensuele rock uit de jaren 90 (denk aan PJ Harvey in haar Dry-periode) hebben we het al eens eerder gehoord. Maar dan gaan er weer andere genre-elementen in de blender. Zo zijn ze ook niet vies van een snufje southern gothic/altcountry die een prima thuis had kunnen vinden op het Bloodshot Records label en hebben de herhalende gitaarlijnen ook wel iets met de bluesy groove van Junior Kimbrough.
