Moe en totaal uitgeput vanwege het juridische getouwtrek om de rechten van hun eerder verschenen werk besluiten de broertjes Jarman om na zeven studio albums voorlopig een punt achter het Wakefieldse The Cribs te zetten. Hoe moeilijk moet het zijn om die bevleugelde energie opnieuw te reproduceren als je totaal leeg gestreden bent. De ironische titel 24-7 Rock Star Shit van hun vorige plaat staat precies voor de situatie waar de band op dat moment in beland is.
