Dat Daptone Records zich na het overlijden van hun grote sterren Sharon Jones en Charles Bradley moest heruitvinden was duidelijk. Zo startten ze na jarenlang vrijwel alleen soul uitgebracht te hebben naast Daptone Records een rocklabel genaamd Wick Records dat met The Mystery Lights indruk maakte. En daarnaast zoeken ze op Daptone ook nieuwe muzikale wegen. All My Relations van Cochemea is daar een prachtig voorbeeld van. Cochemea Gastelum is, naast (mede) Daptone voorman Neil Sugarman, saxofonist bij The Dap-Kings (de band die zo nauw verbonden was aan Sharon Jones).
