In 1969 kwam Pink Floyd’s soundtrack bij de hippiefilm More uit. De film, geregisseerd door Barbet Schroeder en opgenomen in Luxemburg, gaat over een junkiestel, en geeft de sfeer van die tijd weer. Met de psychedelische space-rock van de vroege Pink Floyd als filmmuziek, voor ’t eerst zonder Syd Barrett die wegens zijn overdadige druggebruik uit de band was gezet. Omdat het om filmmuziek gaat, is More niet echt een Pink Floyd-album als de voorgaande: The Piper At the Gates of Dawn en A Saucerful of Secrets en het erop volgende Ummagumma. Het is een fragmentarisch album vol verschillende sferen dat muzikaal vooral vooruitloopt op het studio-deel van Ummagumma. Zelf...
